An FBI investigation exposed two Ku Klux Klan (KKK) members within the Fruitland Park Police. Deputy Chief David Borst and Cpl. George Hunnewell were the two offers. Deputy Chief Borst Resigned, while Cpl. Hunnewell was terminated. While the investigated did not turn up any criminal wrongdoings, Chief Terry Isaacs stated that he wanted the public to know this type of conduct will not even be remotely tolerated .
